What is ITIL


The ITIL - Information Technology Infrastructure Library is a set of best practices described in order to improve effectiveness anthe quality in Information Technology (IT) organizations. ITIL main aims are:
- improve availibility of IT services
reduce costs of IT repeatable processes run by the organization
ITIL consists of the following main areas covering main aspects of running IT organization:
Service Desk, Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Release Management, Change Management, Availibility Mangement, Service Level Management, Capacity Management, Financial Management and IT Service Continuity Management.
